I was so proud of my little town last night. Our friend, who passed on Sunday, was a local politician. We had heard that the firemen would be starting a drive by procession and people who would like to pay their respects could follow. I think the procession lasted for about 45 minutes. His wife and daughters were standing at the end of the driveway. It was so moving. Got me thinking. I was reading a few articles about him. The one quote from him said, ““I’m not combative,” I’ve learned to work with people’s strengths, not their weaknesses.” Sounds great, but not easy to do. How are you living your dash? Are you moving in a direction that you are making progress? Maybe you are not there yet, but have you begun to make the changes needed, to be the person God has called you to be? Tough questions. I think I am in a decent place, but believe that I am called to do more. So more stepping out of my comfort zone and more time seeking what my callings are. I love the bridge of this song, I am linking. “Remember love. Remember mercy. Christ before me. Christ behind me.” If I keep meditating on those words, I know I will be headed in the right direction.
