Yesterday I had the chance to go back into my classroom and start to pack up my students belongings. There were many lists of “do’s,” and “don’t’s”. I could have looked at them in two ways. One, why is everyone infringing on my freedoms and making me do all these things? Two, I am thankful that people were thoughtful about how to keep me safe. It is the same with the Word of God. We can look at it as a book of rules. All the things we should and should not do. Or we can look at it like a set of instructions for our lives. If you have a question or concern in your life, look it up and see what God’s Word says about it. Often times we do not like the answer. It may mean giving up things that we are holding on to. As we read the Word, a good habit, is to ask God what He can show you. That way that you can improve your life and the impact of your life on others.
