This week my Oma went to be home in Heaven. I am thankful that I got to spend a lot of time with her over the summer months and a some during the last few days. When I think about her life and the time that I spent with her these are some of the things that she will be remembered for: She loved us unconditionally. I cannot even recall a time when she even was upset with me and I am sure there were many times when I gave her a reason to be. She was fun! She always wanted to play with us or when we got to be adults, our kids. She lived to serve. She did not want any recognition for herself, but was behind the scenes most of the time, giving of herself. She loved Jesus and lived a life that demonstrated it. She found joy in the small things and was so happy with her life. There are many more lessons I learned from her and as I reflect, many more that I am sure I will learn. I am so grateful to have such an influence in my life and pray that I can be more like her because her life reflected The Father.
