Change. For some it seems so easy, yet for others so difficult. Over the years, I feel like I have been better able to adapt to change, but there was a time in my life where I was very resistant. My husband seems to thrive on change. He works in an industry that is constantly changing and evolving. When we are driving to church on Sunday’s, he would rather take a different route every time, whereas, I would like to go the same route and that is the one that is the quickest. It may be a personality thing. No matter what side you feel you are on, change happens. Over the last month, it has happened at an alarming rate. If you think back to six weeks ago, you would never believe it if someone said we would be living like this. Maybe you were happy with the way things were, doing the same thing over and over. Without change, there is no growth. Since we have all made drastic changes in the last few weeks, which ones are actually good for you? I know for me, being more intentional about encouragement has been a good change. It was something I used to do on a regular basis, but for some reason I got away from it. Instead of resisting and resenting the changes, think about where you have grown and where it has produced a positive outcome. Sharing one of my favourite songs with you today. “You turn graves into gardens.” Talk about change!
